MANILA - Malacanang on Thursday said it does not want to make any judgment on the Commission on Election's (Comelec) preparations for the 2013 polls, which is almost a month away.
"We are not in a position at this point to weigh in. They're the elections experts, we're not," Communications Secretary Ricky Carandang said.
"At the end of the day, we will know if Comelec did the right job when at the end of this exercise, the public accepts it as a credible outcome."
Asked to comment on criticisms against the Comelec's preparations, Carandang said the Palace won't second-guess the Comelec's actions.
"There may be bumps along the way, as there always are. And we're actually happy that the public is pointing these things out because the more they're discussed, the more informed people can be," he said.
