MANILA, Philippines - The minority in the House of Representatives today twitted President Aquino for having no direction in his governance.

In a joint statement ahead of the 25th anniversary celebration of the EDSA People Power I, the minority group said: "Ang daang tinatahak ng administrasyon ay hindi lamang baluktot kundi walang direksyon."

The statement was read by Zambales Rep. Mitos Magsaysay.

The minority stressed the heir of the heroes of the momentous event in 1986 has yet to deliver on his promised reforms.

They noted that Aquino instead chose the path of divisive politics.

“It saddens us that notwithstanding his overwhelming mandate, this administration has chosen the divisive path of partisan politics instead of coming up with a feasible economic development plan or a clear legislative agenda,” the group said.

The group deplored Aquino’s recent decisions, which includes supporting the postponement of the elections in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao as well as supposed maneuverings for the vacant positions in the Commission on Elections.

“The maneuverings in the nomination for the two vacant seats in the Comelec show how partisan this government has become. We call on the president to exercise utmost prudence in choosing the new Comelec commissioners, putting integrity and competence above the lobbying of his partymates,” the group said.
