Doctors and nutritionists – not to mention our parents -- have often expressed the virtues of having breakfast. But what’s the big deal about breakfast? Well, while we sleep, our body does not take-in anything. It is like our body is fasting for hours while we are sleeping. It’s almost like a fast. So it is very important that we take something – or “breaking the fast,” so to speak -- after waking up and before going to our daily activities.
