Charice to launch own perfume in January

MANILA, Philippines - International teen singing sensation Charice has joined the ranks of celebrities with their own perfume line. Charice to launch own perfume in January 1

Her new scents "Charice Perfume for Women", "Charice Unisex Perfume" (both eau de toilette) and a men's cologne will be launched on January 8, 2011 at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) concert grounds.

Charice's new perfume line is part of Aficionado Germany Perfumes.

"Ito 'yung personal choice ni Charice," said Joel Cruz of Aficionado Germany Perfumes.

Cruz described Charice as a dream endorser.

"Charice is not just popular in the Philippines, but worldwide now. We Filipinos are so proud of her, dahil ang layo na talaga ng narating niya. All over the world 'yung followers niya kaya napakagandang endorser. Talagang tutulungan ka niya, not only in the Filipino communities dito at sa abroad, na makilala ang Aficionado," he said.

Cruz said he has been coordinating with Charice for more than a year for the perfume.

Singer and TV host Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano is also set to endorse his new perfume line with Cruz, dubbed "Gary Valenciano for Aficionado" with two variants, one for men and one for women.

Actor John Lloyd Cruz is also endorsing a new perfume line with Cruz.

Charice, Valenciano, and Cruz will launch their new perfumes at a big fashion show-concert entitled "1@11" on January 8, 7 p.m. at SM MOA.

They will be joined by pop/rock bank Kamikaze. A fashion show to be directed by Robbie Carmona will be held. Cruz will also give away special prizes amounting to more than P1 million during the event which will be directed by Roxanne Lapus. Cruz said they are targeting to have an audience of 100,000 people.

Other celebrities with their own perfume line are Jennifer Aniston, Eva Longoria, Taylor Swift, Gretchen Barretto, and Kris Aquino.
