MANILA – Megan Young is honored to host Miss World – which she won in 2013 – for the second year in a row.
In an interview published on the Miss World website, Young said she will host this year’s edition of the pageant with Tim Vincent, just like in 2014.
Young is the Philippines’ first-ever Miss World titlist.

“It really is an honor hosting Miss World for 2 years in a row. Not every Miss World gets a chance to do this so I think it is a great opportunity that Julia Morley has given to me and entrusted me with. I absolutely love the competition, it amazes me how every year is so different. From what I’ve seen, this year’s production is going to be the best yet,” she said.
When asked why she thinks she was chosen to host Miss World again, Young replied: “I definitely think it has to do with my background in hosting.”
Young is already an actress and host before joining Miss World in 2013. She was an ABS-CBN talent at one point, appearing in soaps and a reality show.
Her younger sister, Lauren, is also part of the local showbiz industry.
The Miss World 2015 coronation night will be held in China on Saturday, December 19. The Philippines’ representative, Hillarie Danielle Parungao, hopes to replicate Young’s success and bring home the crown for the country.
