“Our main focus has really been to find the best products from around the world and to give a platform for people to own their own business without so much start-up capital,” said David Tan, BWL’s country director in the Philippines.

"We wanted to come out with a business module that was affordable for everybody," he continued.

Filipinos can hop on the direct-selling trend with a relatively low investment of P1,800.

The company, which sources from the US, France and Japan, offers its members a wide array of skin care products and food supplements.

Plum Delite, the company's most popular product, is a dried fruit that has the appearance and taste of a prune and comes wrapped in individual sachets, and helps the user lose weight naturally by flushing toxins from the body after it is eaten.

“It’s a very unique product,” said Tan. “It’s not a powder, capsule, or a drink; it’s a dried fruit that contains green tea and probiotics."

The subsidiary of the Best World International Ltd., BWL has been in the Southeast Asian market for nearly 10 years in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and Indonesia.
