MANILA - Famous for its spectacular view, the Manila Bay sunset found another admirer in US President Barack Obama.
Chief Official White House photographer Pete Souza on Tuesday posted on Instagram a photo of the U.S. President watching the famed Manila Bay sunset.
Obama is in the country for the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting on Wednesday and Thursday.
Air Force One carrying the US President arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) around 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
Obama also visited the Philippine Navy's flagship, the US-made Gregorio del Pilar, shortly after arriving in Manila.
The White House said the visit seeks to highlight American commitment to regional maritime security.
On his three-day trip to Manila, Obama will also hold bilateral meetings with President Benigno Aquino III and other allies, and meet leaders of the 12-member Trans-Pacific Partnership group.
He will also have a meeting with members of the Pacific Alliance, a Latin-American trade bloc.
