MANILA - Hundreds of shoppers set up camp outside SM Megamall in Mandaluyong as early as Thursday afternoon for the opening of the first-ever H&M store in the Philippines.

Located at the Mega Fashion Hall facing EDSA, the three-level, 3,000-square meter store will be open to the public at 9 a.m. Friday.

Here's a quick tour of the store and details of opening-day items.

Because of the promised perks and good deals for first-in-line customers, those in queue just outside H&M Megamall already numbered over 120 as of 3 p.m. on Thursday.

The first customer in line when the store opens will get a gift card worth P6,000, while the next 200 will receive gift cards worth P200 to P5,000 each. Limited-edition tote bags will be given to the first 2,000 customers.

Also to be given away to early shoppers -- H&M magazine's Fall Issue, 2,000 cups of Seattle's Best coffee, and Cinnabon rolls, among others.

Those who aren't lucky enough to be among the first few thousands in line are still up for good deals. H&M will also put on sale over 5,000 items on opening day, with discounts at 40 to 50%.
