MANILA, Philippines – Spanish fast-fashion brand Mango formally launched two new concept stores in the Philippines on Tuesday as it aims to win over both male and female shoppers.

A new boutique called “H.E. by MANGO,” located at the posh Power Plant Mall in Rockwell, Makati, offers clothing items dedicated to men’s fashion. Its latest collection is described as “inspired by '70s Italy, elegant and sober,” with its suit jackets and hand-knitted items.

Right beside H.E. by MANGO is a store called “MANGO Touch,” which features the brand’s accessories and footwear. Aside from the Power Plant mall, MANGO Touch also has a branch at the newly opened Robinsons Magnolia mall in Quezon City.

“Our fashion-forward country can now experience the exciting, exclusive and trendy collections of these two brands,” said Mango country supervisor Kelly Santos during the launch.

“Later this year, we’re opening three more brands for H.E. and two more brands for Touch,” she added.

Mango currently has 91 H.E. by MANGO stores worldwide. Aside from the Philippines and Spain, the brand has branches of its men’s boutique in France, Italy, Germany, Singapore, Thailand and Russia.

Forty-seven MANGO Touch accessory stores, meanwhile, are scattered in Spain, France, Italy, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand.

In the Philippines, Mango currently faces strong competition from other European fashion brands such as Zara and Topshop, and American chain Forever 21.
