MANILA – ABS-CBN News reporter Atom Araullo has been dubbed by an online magazine as the “cutest newsman” in the Philippines for the past four years, beating nearly 40 of his contemporaries.

Araullo, who started out as a host of the youth-oriented show “5 and Up,” topped the “all-star” list of Spot.ph’s “cutest newsmen” from 2010 to 2013.

He first appeared on the website’s list in 2010, where he ranked No. 1.

“There’s just something about Atom Araullo that has viewers glued to their screens. Maybe it’s his undeniable star appeal. Or the fact that he is a man of substance. Or his irresistibly charming… everything, really,” Spot.ph said as it released its newest list on Monday.

The website also noted how Araullo became an Internet sensation in 2013 for his daring coverage of super typhoon “Yolanda.”

Aside from being a reporter for ABS-CBN News, Araullo has his own show titled “Red Alert.” He is also part of the ABS-CBN morning show “Umagang Kay Ganda.”

Araullo has also appeared on a magazine cover and even has a burger named after him as a result of his popularity among Filipinos.

Aside from Araullo, three other ABS-CBN personalities made it to Spot.ph’s “all-star cutest newsmen” list. “On the Money” host Edric Mendoza ranked second, sports anchor TJ Manotoc ranked sixth, and “[email protected]” host Paolo Abrera ranked 10th.
