Following her much-publicized troubled relationship with her parents in March this year, Heart Evangelista asserted her independence and firm decision to fight for love when she moved out of her Makati condominium unit and relocated to a three-storey townhouse in Quezon City.
She moved in to her new home the first week of June this year. On the ground floor is the living room, dining area and kitchen. The second floor houses the gym room and a walk-in closet.

Almost every corner of the house is decorated with framed photos of Heart and the important people in her life. The third floor, with its gently sloping ceiling painted with fluffy white clouds and a clear blue daytime sky, is where the master bedroom is. The room is mostly bathed in white.
The ceiling was designed by UP student Andy Escudero, Senator Francis ‘Chiz’ Escudero’s nephew. But it was all Heart’s idea. Says Heart: “I wanted the sky ceiling kasi you can breathe and I love the idea na it’s open and there’s peace.”
It’s hard not to be enamored by actress and TV host Heart Evangelista’s oriental beauty. That, complemented by her classic taste in fashion, has earned her a place as one of the country’s closely-watched fashionistas.

Along with the developments in her personal life, we saw the emergence of an all-new Heart, her coming-of-age as a fashion icon.
As far as Heart can remember, even as a kid, she was always fascinated by fashion. She would play with Barbie dolls and raid her mom’s closet for fashion finds that she could use to play dress-up.
Sometimes, her fashion experimentation had disastrous results, literally. Heart sustained a seven-stitch cut on her right eyelid when she dared to slip on her mom’s turquoise high heels, hobbling around until she fell and hit a glass table.
“It happened in the US, when I was about four or five years old. I went down the stairs wearing the heels, fell to the ground and hit the glass table. Mataas ‘yun at malakas ang impact. Nag-roll down talaga ako. They even put me in a straitjacket when they took me to the hospital because I was kicking, screaming and crying,” she recalls.
Despite that unfortunate episode, Heart’s love for fashion has only grown through the years.
