MANILA – New World Hotels is set to take over Hyatt Regency Hotel and Casino Manila in Malate next year as part of the chain’s expansion plans in Asia.
By January 2015, Hyatt will be renamed New World Manila Bay Hotel, with the property’s guestrooms and public spaces to be renovated.
Currently, Hyatt has 378 guestrooms including 63 suites, executive floors and a lounge, New World Hotels said in a statement released Tuesday. It also has six dining concepts, a grand ballroom, four meeting rooms, an outdoor pool, a spa and a fitness center.
The hotel is part of a complex including a 150,000-square foot casino.
New World Hotels said Hyatt will be the second hotel for the brand in Manila after New World Makati.
The hotel chain is also putting up new properties in different parts of China.
