MANILA, Philippines – Suzuki Philippines has simultaneously launched three bikes at the Blue Leaf Filipinas in Paranaque City to cater to almost very kind of Filipino rider.
Calling the launch a "triple threat," Suzuki unveiled the much-anticipated Address, Gixxer and AX4, which were described as “global, powerful and fuel-efficient.”
“We will all witness three new Suzuki bikes that are designed to meet the needs of the Filipino people and maybe more. First is a global and fun Suzuki scooter from Europe, Oceania, Asia Pacific that now lands here. Second is a powerful street sports bike that has already won numerous awards overseas including a Best Bike title. And third is a returning legend – certainly a triple threat,” Jun Bulot, Suzuki Philippines general manager for sales and marketing.
The Address is Suzuki’s stylish global scooter that has been making waves abroad. It runs on 113cc 4-stroke 1-cylinder SOHC power plant that produces 6.9kW @ 8,000rpm, and maximum torque of 8.7Nm @ 6,500rpm. It is built with Suzuki Eco Performance coupled with the Suzuki Fuel Injection System to achieve maximum power and optimum fuel efficiency.
It also comes with a 20.6L utility box roomy enough to accommodate a full face helmet or even some shopping items so there will be no need for an external utility box. It also has two large inner pockets with hook to hold additional stuff. The fuel-tank is large enough at 5.2L capacity which means longer and uninterrupted rides, which is perfect for young riders.
The Suzuki Gixxer
The Gixxer is the boldest of the three bikes. It is a street bike powered by a 155cc 4-stroke air-cooled SOHC engine which delivers 10.4kW @ 8,000rpm and maximum torque of 14N @ 6,000rpm. It is also tastefully designed by engineers who developed the legendary Hayabusa and the GSX-R1000.
The Gixxer boasts of a three-piece construction fuel tank with parts that can easily replaced when damaged. It also comes with LED lights, three-spoked mags and its dual mufflers. The Gixxer has already won numerous awards abroad including the “Best Bike” award.
Meanwhile, the AX4 is the resurrection of the old Suzuki X-4 business model bike.
The newer version carries advanced features that will cater to the need of the masa riders. It is an ideal motorcycle for business use because of his power and fuel efficiency. The AX4’s diamond shaped chassis cradles a 150cc, four-stroke engine, which is strong enough to power the bike through difficult road conditions.
It is also equipped with a longer rear carrier for added space for passengers or extra baggage. The AX4 also comes with a tool kit for sidecars, ideal for tricycle use.
"With the launch of these new products – the Address, Gixxer and AX4 -- Suzuki has elevated its standards of durability to greater heights once again as it brings these global, powerful, and efficient models at a competitive price for Filipinos to enjoy," said Yukio Yano,
Suzuki Philippines director for manufacturing and engineering.
