"I would like to thank the members of the Biyahe Tayo! team as well as the 57 artists who joined in the singing of the new Pilipinas, Tara Na! songs for giving generously their time and talents in creating the new versions of the song for free," said Tourism Secretary Alberto Lim.

"The fact that the team and these artists, who usually charge big amounts for performances and endorsements, joined in the creation of the music video for free and for the love of country makes their gesture even more laudable. I salute them for their noble and patriotic act."

The Philippines' different tourist attractions -- from food to festivals and historic places -- are highlighted in the 3 "Pilipinas, Tara Na!" music videos.

Lim hopes that the new songs will be given extensive coverage by local television and radio, as well as in digital media through social networking sites.

Nieva of the "Pilipinas, Tara Na!" team for his part, said, "We hope that the songs will generate the same national pride as well as a stronger feeling of unity among our fellow Filipinos in working for the overall good of our country, regardless of differences in subcultures, dialects, lifestyles and political, business or religious affiliations."

"As I wrote in one of the passages in the lyrics, 'Tayo man ay iba-iba, diwa't puso ay iisa (We may differ in may ways, but we are one in spirit and heart).'"

A sneak peek into the new song and music video has been uploaded on the "Pilipinas, Tara Na!" Facebook page.
