BAGUIO CITY - Wanting to take the road less traveled among many overrated Baguio spots, tourists have reportedly flocked to the Orchidarium in Burnham Park.

At its center lies an orchid house and different kinds of orchids and other flowers, which appeal to both guests and businessmen alike. "We keep on going back here, it's very beautiful," said Samuel Cho, one of the tourists.

The Orchid House was finally constructed by Arnnie's Garden after almost 20 years in the flower business.

Sellers at the Orchidarium say the "Sharry Baby" (from the Oncidium family) is one of the most popular varieties. Compared to other orchids, the Sharry Baby's relaxing fragrance is good for home use.

Another attraction is the "Roberts Delight", which has large petals. For orchid collectors, the Cymbodium is one of the most expensive kinds, priced at about P6,000 to P10,000. Although expensive, sales pick up on Valentine's Day or Mother's Day. Report from Venus Tanada, ABS-CBN Northern Luzon.
