MANILA -- Palawan is known for its beautiful islands and tourist destinations. But there still are several "undiscovered" destinations in the province, one of which is the municipality of Araceli.

Araceli is an island municipality northeast of mainland Palawan. To get to the island, one would need to travel two to three hours from Puerto Princesa City to the municipality of Roxas. From Roxas, it's another four- to five-hour boat ride to get to Araceli.

Araceli prides itself of a 2.1-kilometer white sand beach in Barangay Tinintinan.

Hikers may also explore Hingal Hill, which can be found at the tail-end of Tinintinan beach. A 360-degree view of the island awaits at the top of the hill.

Another tourist attraction in the municipality is Cambari Island, which is home to various bird species and majestic rock formations. For cave enthusiasts, the island's caves with its clear waters are definitely a must to explore.

It is also an ideal place for snorkeling. The beautiful corals and wildlife, including lobsters and manta rays, are staple in the area.

Cambari Island can be reached via a 30-minute boat ride from Araceli's main island.
