MANILA – Did you know that the hit Star Cinema movie “One More Chance” starring Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz is now a book?
Written by Juan Miguel Sevilla and published by ABS-CBN Publishing, the “One More Chance” novel is based on the movie’s screenplay by Vanessa Valdez and Carmi Raymundo.
It tells the story of Popoy (Cruz) and Basha (Alonzo), two lovers who initially thought that they are destined to be together forever. However, they eventually parted ways to have more space and personal growth.
The book is divided into chapters, each peppered with “hugot” relationship quotes popularized by the movie.
Here’s an example, which was delivered by Popoy to his close friend, Chinno: “Kaya tayo iniiwan ng taong mahal natin kasi baka merong bagong darating na mas okay. Na mas mamahalin tayo. ‘Yung taong hindi tayo sasaktan at paaasahin. ‘Yung nag-iisang taong magtatama ng lahat ng mali sa buhay natin.”
For fans, the “One More Chance” novel also includes screenshots of the movie, from Basha’s new haircut to Popoy walking out the University of Santo Tomas campus.
The “One More Chance” novel will be released in bookstores nationwide starting next week.
