Manila Chamber Orchestra promotes healthy classical music during great performance series at Ayala Museum.
I dropped by their concert to hang out with them and get my dose of live classical tunes.
Manila Chamber Orchestra Foundation (MCO) started in 1985 with 25 of the best musicians from the Manila Symphony Orchestra.

According to MCO's executive director Angel Nacino, the organization was set up to promote appreciation of classical music to wider audiences.
"We're happy that we started doing our concerts here in Ayala Museum this year. Our partnership with the Ayala Group and Ayala Foundation has helped us reach new audiences," says Nacino.

Nacino explained that their concerts are also aimed at reaching out to the growing fans of classical music who want to gain from its health benefits.
"More people are now aware of scientific studies about how classical music can greatly increase one's IQ and reduces stress," Nacino says.
The event was attended by classical music enthusiasts, yuppies, tourists, expats and friends from the business community.

Pinoy pianist Albert Tiu and Belgian clarinetist Marcel Luxen were the two international musicians featured in the concert.

The duo performed excellent numbers from Brahms, Schumann and Weber.
I loved their rendition of Schumann's Fantasiestucke op. 73. Marcel and Albert played it with great emotional feeling.

The concert culminated with shouts of bravo from the audience as everyone went home happily satisfied with their dose of classical melodies.
