Pacman's robe to be auctioned online

MANILA, Philippines – They say that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

One of Manny Pacquiao’s "trash," a boxing robe, has become a treasure for some after being auctioned online.

The Pacman’s robe had a starting price of P10 on online auction It is now worth P6,530 as of posting time.

The robe is made from red silk, with the boxer’s “Pacman” signature on it.

“eBay understands how big Manny Pacquiao is to the Filipinos, hence, this is going to be considered as one of his greatest legacies,” business head Abhimanyu Lal said.

“Furthermore it will serve as one of the World Champion’s most priced emblems—a remembrance of the times he battled it out inside the boxing ring for the pride of the Filipino people,” he added.

The proceeds will go to Kapuso School Development (KSD) project for the construction of 50 classrooms in remote areas across the country.

The auction will run until May 6, 2011.
