MANILA – While Miss Universe-Philippines Pia Wurtzbach would not confirm if she and President Benigno Aquino III are indeed dating, she did say what she likes about the bachelor leader.

In her recent sit-down interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer, which was published on Sunday, Wurtzbach was asked directly if they are dating.

“I talk to him, yeah. He’s very… he’s very busy. I don’t know, what do you want to know?” she said.

Asked what she likes about him, Wurtzbach said she admires Aquino's love for the country.

“His No. 1 priority really is his love for the country. I’ve noticed this because even when we’re talking casually, we’re still talking about the Philippines,” she said.

“That’s how you know he’s passionate about it, because even when he’s resting, he’s still talking about it. And that’s good, that’s very good,” she said.

Wurtzbach also said she likes how the President is "very approachable."

“You don’t feel intimidated when he’s around. He’s very approachable. He’s always smiling. Or maybe that’s just me. Also, he’s ready to answer any question you throw at him,” she said.

Wurtzbach said she enjoys talking to the President just “about anything under the sun.”

In fact, Wurtzbach shared they got the chance to discuss her answer in the Q&A portion of Binibining Pilipinas.

Wurtzbach was asked about her thoughts on Internet censorship by Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo.

“We talked about my Q&A for a bit. And then he said he would have expounded on the answer a bit more. Sabi ko, ‘You didn’t like my answer?’ And he said, ‘It’s not that I didn’t like your answer, it’s just that…’ Then sabi ko, ‘How would you have answered it?’ Then he started answering and he starts saying this speech with words na napakalalim. It kinda sounded like a speech he would say at a UN conference.”

“And I said, ‘Nobody’s going to understand…’ And he said, ‘Well, you’re asking me what my answer would be and I’m telling you my answer. As the President, this would be my answer. Kung tinanong mo ako as a beauty contestant, iba yung magiging sagot ko.’ Sabi ko, ‘Fair enough,’” she shared.

Because of the President’s very busy schedule, do they have time to go out?

“No. He’s very busy. I’m also very busy… but I still get to talk to him. And I understand that he’s very busy. He has his priorities,” she said.

But if given the chance, Wurtzbach said she would like to eat out with the President.

Aside from his day-to-day engagements as the country's top official, President Aquino has made headlines time and again for his love life, which often unfold to be short-lived romances with local celebrities.

His past girlfriends include TV host Grace Lee and former Valenzuela City councilor Shalani Soleded. Aquino was also reported have dated stylist Liz Uy and another beauty queen, Bianca Manalo, at different times.
