In the 2014 movie, "That Thing Called Tadhana," lead characters Mace (Angelica Panganiban) and Anthony (JM de Guzman) go up to Baguio and Sagada.
On of the places highlighted in the film is a spot up in the Sagada highlands, specifically a ridge called Kiltepan Viewpoint.
It was in this spot where Anthony supposedly asked Mace, "’Pag may dumaan na shooting star anong iwi-wish mo?"
The movie was a big hit — and has, in fact, been cited as the reason for the added influx of tourists in the area. In some ways, that's good, but in some ways that is unfortunate.
A photo by Dayanne Crisologo has been making the rounds online showing the "Standing Room Only" scene at Kiltepan Viewpoint. This has caused conservationists to lament that Sagada may become as crowded as Baguio.
"Magmomoment ka sana sa Kiltepan habang nag-aabang ng pagsikat ng araw kaso nagmomoment din silang lahat," Crisologo wrote.
