Rock band Paramore in Manila for concert

MANILA, Philippines - American rock band Paramore has arrived on Monday in Manila for their one-night concert on Tuesday (March 9) at the SM Mall of Asia grounds in Pasay City.

Composed of lead singer Hayley Williams, lead guitarist Josh Farro, bassist Jeremy Davies, drummer and percussionist Zac Farro, and rhythm guitar player Taylor York, the band arrived at Terminal 2 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport from a Philippine Airlines flight.

They were accompanied by an entourage of 15 artists, which included back-up singers, assistants, and special effects personnel.

Organizers are expecting some 30,000 people to attend the Manila concert, which will highlight their third and latest album, Brand New Eyes. Included in this album are songs such as Careful, Ignorance, and Brick by Boring Brick.

Aside from their latest releases, Paramore is also set to perform their hit songs That's What You Get, Misery Business, and Decode, which is part of the Twilight soundtrack.

The Paramore concert in Manila does not allow the entry of pregnant women, persons with severe heart or medical conditions, and those under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Items prohibited inside the concert grounds include:

  • professional audio or video recording devices
  • professional cameras
  • weapons
  • glass, cans, and plastic bottles
  • food and alcoholic beverages
  • large metal belt buckles, spiked bracelets and wallet chains
  • fireworks
  • backpacks and waist packs
  • huge posters, placards and signages
