MANILA - "It is so painful for a mother, father, brother and loved ones to let go of Jam. But let us just accept the fact that Jam will no longer win this fight."

These were the words of the father of Jam Sebastian's fiance, Mich Liggayu, after learning of the grim condition the YouTube star is in.

It was revealed Thursday afternoon that Sebastian's battle with stage 4 lung cancer has taken a turn for the worse. He is currently on life support.

"Doctor Charity Gorospe, Jam's lead cancer doctor is explaining to us the reality of Jam's condition. All vital signs are weak and that it is a fight that we will not win over," the older Christopher Joseph Liggayu wrote on his Facebook account.

"She also added that what we are doing to Jam right now is just prolonging his pain if we keep him under meds and the ventilator. It is a given fact that we have lost the battle. He is just alive because of the meds and will not recover anymore," he added.

"Dear Jesus, again we are in pain. We are lost for words on how to overcome each others emotion right now. We ask that you please Dear Jesus, make us all accept that we have to let go of Jam, and that we are giving him back to you."

"I ask you Dear Friends to join us in prayer for accepting this painful reality," the older Liggayu said.

Prayers for Sebastian has been pouring in on social media since the news of his condition broke.

Among those that have expressed their support are television host Kris Aquino, "Bandila" anchor Karen Davila, and inspirational speaker Bo Sanchez.

Kapamilya singer Yeng Constantino and fellow YouTube star Mikey Bustos have also asked for prayers.

Sebastian, who is engaged to be married to Mich Liggayu, has been battling lung cancer for nearly a year.

The two are part of the widely popular tanden "Jamich," whose YouTube channel boasts of more than 100 million views.
