In Catholic-majority Philippines, Easter Sunday is celebrated to mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The country, however, is still reeling from the COVID-19 pandemic which has affected 4,648 individuals as of April 12.

The threat of the virus has not stopped some of the Catholic faithful from celebrating Easter Sunday, while still practicing physical distancing and eschewing mass gatherings.

Some have also found ways to show their appreciation for the frontliners in the fight against COVID-19.

Here are some scenes this Easter Sunday.
