Calm waters

A fisherman paddles his boat on the Wawa River in Nasugbu, Batangas on Saturday as others are tied to mangroves around the riverbank. Mangroves play an important role to fishermen as these provide increased fish catch and improve freshwater habitat while acting as a line of defense against coastal erosion.
