REWIND: 10 new restaurants in Metro Manila for 2017

MANILA – As the year draws to a close, we take a look back at 10 new restaurants in Metro Manila that received the most attention from our readers.

1. District 8

Onion Jam Croquetas at District 8. Jeeves de Veyra

This gastropub at G-Strip in Greenhills, San Juan is owned by Daniel Padilla, Vice Ganda, Kel Zaguirre, Paul Artadi, James Yap, Marc Pingris, Charlton Yu, and Francis Zamora.

2. Ashark Club

Patterned after hugely popular concepts in China, Ashark Club at Golden Phoenix Hotel in Pasay City is a restaurant and KTV club rolled into one.

3. Hamaru

Tucked away at the back of the Food Hive in Quezon City, this restaurant offers modern interpretations of Japanese classics like yakitori and sushi.

4. Rackshack

Located in Mandaluyong, this restaurant is a “hipster gotohan” that lets diners decide what goes into their bowl of porridge.

7. Kiss the Tiramisu

Kiss the Tiramisu offers four versions of its soft serve ice cream. Joko Magalong-De Veyra

This popular dessert café from South Korea opened in Manila last November. It is located at Salcedo Village in Makati City.

8. Ibiza Beach Club BGC

This club and restaurant is known for its Balearic-inspired 15-course grill experience, which features unlimited servings of meat and seafood.
