(UPDATED) The wait continues for the second Miss World title for the Philippines, as Michelle Dee failed to crack the pageant's Top 5 in London on Saturday.
The actress and TV host finished in the Top 12, with only India's Suman Ratansingh Rao representing Asia in the final round.
Rao eventually finished in third place, behind France's Ophely Mezino and overall winner, Jamaica's Toni-Anne Singh.
Singh, 23, who is studying to become a doctor, has a talent for singing. At one point during the long pageant, she belted out the Whitney Houston classic "I Have Nothing."
In the Q&A, she said the thing she is most passionate about is making sure that women all over the world are ensured opportunities to become successful.
She credits her parents, especially her mother, for working hard and making numerous sacrifices for her, which led to her Miss World stint.
Megan Young, who won the title in 2013, remains the sole Filipina winner in the contest's nearly 70-year history.
