The newly crowned Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters is in Manila, and she's here to help promote the country after being invited by the Department of Tourism.
She brought along last year's winner, Iris Mittenaere, and will join Miss Universe 2017 candidates from Spain, Italy, Russia, Malaysia, India, Canada, China, and Singapore in touring the Philippines.
Scheduled across four days, they are set to visit Batanes, Vigan, Bohol, and Camiguin. They will also showcase the work of talented designers from Mindanao in a charity fashion show.
Nel-Peters won the Miss Universe title last month in Las Vegas, succeeding Mittenaere, who won the crown here in the Philippines.
