MANILA - Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray on Sunday bid her "official goodbye" to New York City as she heads to Atlanta, where the beauty pageant will be held to crown a new queen.
"Will forever remember the year I called this concrete jungle, home. Thank you, New York," Gray said in a Facebook post.
Gray, the Philippines’ fourth Miss Universe winner, earlier shared with followers “Maghanda,” a video compiling her training and preparation for the 2018 competition.
The Philippines’ 2019 representative, Gazini Ganados, is hoping to claim back-to-back wins for the country, and its fifth crown overall, after Gray’s reign.
Should Ganados achieve the feat, the Philippines will become only the second country to have back-to-back winning representatives in Miss Universe, after Venezuela’s 2008 to 2009 reign.
