MANILA - Three Philippine universities are included in the list of top global universities that best prepare their graduates for the workplace.
Ateneo de Manila University, University of Santo Tomas (UST) and the University of the Philippines (UP) are the only three Philippine universities included in the QS Graduate Employability Rankings list.
The QS Graduate Employability Rankings, according to its website, is an annual ranking of universities based on their commitment to and effectivity in preparing students for the workplace.
The ranking features 300 institutions, with each institution's score compiled based on the following indicators: employer reputation (30%), alumni outcomes (20%), employer partnerships (25%), employer-student connections (15%) and graduate employment rate (10%).
All three Philippine universities are at the 201+ bracket. Ateneo de Manila has 82.7 points in the Graduate Employment Rate category, while UP and UST have 81 points each.
UST also has 90.2 points in the Employer-Student Connections category, while UP has 51 points in the Alumni Outcomes category.
Stanford University topped the list, with 95.90 points overall score. It is followed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with 95.80 points and Tsinghua University with 95.20 points.
