She may have fallen short of bringing home the Miss World title.
But Laura Lehmann is more than ready to dust off her disappointment and join Filipino fans in supporting her friend, Rachel Peters, the country's bet to the 2017 Miss Universe pageant.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, she reached out to Peters and said: "Rachel, I just want to wish you good luck in your fight."
"[Since] we've known each other for a long time, I know that you can win this. And when you're onstage, remember that you're not Rachel -- you're Miss Philippines so let that motivate you and let that inspire you. All the best."
The Miss Universe pageant is scheduled for Sunday (Monday Manila time) in Las Vegas.
An online poll is currently being held, the winner of which will get an automatic place in the competition's semifinals.
Several celebrities such as Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, and Maine Mendoza have already lent their voices to bolster Peters's chances in the poll.
