Catriona Gray is looking to bring home the Philippines’ fourth Miss Universe crown, and Filipino fans can expect a front-row view as ABS-CBN airs the pageant finale live in December.
The 67th Miss Universe pageant will be held in Bangkok, Thailand on December 17 starting at 8 a.m.
ABS-CBN’s live telecast of the competition will start at the same time, according to a teaser featuring Gray released on Monday.
Gray, regarded as an early favorite among pageant pundits and online fans, has said she is all set for the pageant after months of preparation.
She will share the stage with the first-ever transgender candidate of Miss Universe, Angela Ponce of Spain.
The pageant this year is also said to be the biggest in terms of international participation, with 95 candidates expected to converge in Bangkok.
If Gray succeeds in being crowned Miss Universe, she would be the fourth Filipina to do so after Pia Wurtzbach in 2015, Margie Moran in 1973, and Gloria Diaz in 1969.
