MANILA – Philippine bet Winwyn Marquez has been winning special awards at the 2017 Reina Hispanoamericana pageant in Bolivia.
According to the pageant’s official Instagram page, Marquez finished in the top 3 in the Traditional Costume category.
She wore a golden warrior outfit, created by Edwin Uy who said that he drew inspiration from the Pintados tribe of Cebu. It was Panama's Carolina Castillo who won the award.
Meanwhile, the Aces & Queens Instagram page reported that Marquez finished first runner-up in the Miss Personality category.
She was likewise a finalist in the Best Smile and Miss Silhouette categories, and was named the Ipanema Girl.
Marquez is the first Filipina to compete in the Reina Hispanoamericana pageant. Its coronation night will be held on November 4.
