1. Lung Hin to offer roast goose
Marco Polo Ortigas Manila's Cantonese restaurant Lung Hin will offer premium roast goose from November 6 to 21. Guest chef Billy Cheong is coming to Manila to share his famous roasted goose recipe from their home in Guangdong province.
Guests can enjoy this Hong Kong classic for a la carte orders, half or whole. A set menu is also available with a line-up of other dishes such as Steamed Garoupa with Shredded Pork and Shredded Mushroom Ancient Style, Fried Shrimp and Vermicelli in XO Sauce, and Stir-fried Seasonal Hong Kong Vegetables with Garlic.
2. Bulgogi Brothers opens at Venice Grand Canal Mall
Bulgogi Brothers recently opened its sixth branch at the Venice Grand Canal Mall in McKinley Hill.
Guests should not miss the restaurant's new Seoul Medley, hearty servings of authentic Korean food meant for four persons to share. Choose from Gujeoulpan, a generous platter of seasoned Korean dishes served with choice of four lettuce wraps or 12 pieces pancake wraps; or the six-flavor Samgyupsal, grilled pork belly served in a variety of flavors -- curry, ginseng, soybean, salt & pepper, garlic and bulgogi -- and served with choice of four lettuce wraps or four rice bowls.
3. Oktoberfest at Long Bar
Raffles Makati’s Long Bar is offering a German-inspired Happy Hour the whole month until October 31. From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., guests can enjoy free-flowing German beer, unlimited rounds of cocktail drinks themed after the festivity, and endless servings of house pour liquors at P695 per person.
Pair with a complimentary chef’s snack platter featuring German pub favourites such as the German potato ball, bite-sized pretzel roll, and bratswurst. A selection of German delicacies are also available to choose from throughout the night namely the Sweinshaxe (traditional pork knuckles), Sauerkraut, and Apple Strudel, among others.
Those availing of the Happy Hour may also take advantage of a special extension, where concoctions are available until 10 p.m. at P895.
4. How to use Oliviers&Co's specialty oils

5. Robinsons Selections' wine, spirits, and beer festival
Robinsons Selections kicks off the holiday season with its annual wine, spirits, and beer festival held at Venice Grand Canal Mall in McKinley Hill, Taguig City.
For the entire month of October, patrons can avail of various wines, imported beers, and liquors at discounted prices in all Robinsons Selections branches for their holiday celebrations.
Offers on select wines, beer and spirits are also available at Robinsons Supermarket this month.
6. Eastwood City’s Chocolate Festival
Guests at the second floor of Eastwood Mall will be greeted by a chocolate fountain, followed by an array chocolates and sweets, as part of Eastwood City’s Chocolate Festival, which runs until October 29.
Included are crowd-favorite Theo and Philo's artisan chocolates, Creamco Creamery’s premium ice cream selections, Red Hat Cacao's handcrafted chocolate barks, Hiraya Chocolates infused with chicharon, quezo de bola, and coconut milk chocolate flavors, and Quezada's champorado.
More concessionaires and chocolate-makers are joining the festival, so guests and chocolate-lovers are advised to keep on visiting the fair, which is open Fridays until Sundays of October.
7. Costa Coffee's locally inspired drinks
Costa Coffee has come up with new locally inspired non-coffee beverages - Mango Burst Cooler and Crème Brulee Frostino.
Mango Burst Cooler os a mango-flavored drink with bits of mango-popping boba, which bursts with a rich mango flavor in your mouth; while the Crème Brulee Frostino is a take on the local favorite dessert, leche flan. It has crème brulee sauce blended with milk and ice, then topped with whipped cream and brown sugar crystals.
