Pia Wurtzbach and Marlon Stockinger arrived together Saturday at the ABS-CBN Ball, putting to rest persistent rumors that they have broken up.
Speaking with reporters shortly before they walked the red carpet, Wurtzbach pointed out that she never directly confirmed that they were no longer together.
“Come on, I never had an interview where I said that we have broken up,” she said.
The Miss Universe 2015 queen also clarified an Instagram post in August, with the caption: “No boyfriend? No problem.” That post sparked the latest round of breakup rumors.
According to Wurtzbach, the caption was part of a brand endorsement. Stockinger said he knew of the post, and that he didn’t mind it.
“I understand the confusion, but it was really for the ‘boyfriend’ jeans,” Wurtzbach explained, referring to a denim collection of the clothing brand she endorses.
Stockinger added: “Pia asked me before she posted the picture. It’s always about having fun.”
