LONDON - A robot developed by Silicon Valley's Ohmnilabs walked the runway for the first time for the show of LA-based designer Honee.
The House of Ikons show featured human and robotic models, bringing fashion and advanced technology together.

Filipino models, including beauty queens Kaira Giel Gregorio, Miss Earth Air-Philippines 2016; Kacey Colleen Lim, Miss Summer World 2018; and Christa Borja, Miss World Peace 2018 also joined the House of Ikons show, wearing the trendiest bespoke creations of international designers.

In the Oxford Fashion Studio show, Audrey Albason's eight-piece collection dubbed the "Pagla-um" or Hope served as the finale. She was the only Filipino designer in the show of seven designers for the Oxford Fashion Studio's SS19 collections.
"This is where my passion has brought me. I'm proud," she said.
It was a dream come true for the nurse-turned-designer to feature Philippine-inspired motifs, using local weaves such as hablon and pina fiber.
"My collection is called pagla-um which is a Hiligaynon word. Given this chance, I hope to bridge local craftsmanship and bring it to a global audience. It's really more of a hope that our local fiber will find a place in the global stage," she said.
Just three years in the fashion industry, Albason has high hopes.
"It's the story like mine that I hope will inspire young designers, people from 30 or 40 years old, that it’s never too late to pursue your dreams," she said.
The House of Ikons Show and the Oxford Fashion Studio provide a platform for independent designers to showcase their work in the big four fashion events in the world, including the recently concluded London Fashion Week.
