“In our environment, the biggest problem is us. Yes, we may be the biggest threat, but we can also be its savior… [We can save rainforests by] raising awareness through information dissemination, through education, and sharing ideas through social media. With all those collective efforts, we, too, can save the world,” she said.

Miss Nature Intercontinental is a pageant that “draws attention to environmental issues,” and aims to “promote healthy living, ecology, and ecological awareness,” as shown on its website

According to the pageant blog Powerhouse PH, Bona is a 26-year-old caregiver, midwife, nurse, and businesswoman from Iriga, Camarines Sur.

She also finished in the Top 5 of Miss ASEAN Friendship 2017.
