MANILA -- "Hello, Love, Goodbye" star Alden Richards is collaborating with Filipino fashion designer Avel Bacudio on an athleisure line.
"The colors, the designs basically came from my idea which is like my comfort clothes," Richards said during the launch over the weekend. "Basically it's a collection of jackets, tracksuits, jogging pants and shirts as well, athleisure."
"We are really excited to showcase this collection to the world at sa mga kababayan natin na apart from being in style... the deeper meaning of this project is for a cause," added Richards, who said part of the proceeds from the collaboration will go to the Northern Luzon Association for the Blind in La Trinidad, Benguet.
For his part, Bacudio, who previously collaborated on a jeans line with Kapamilya actor Matteo Guidicelli, said the project is really for Richards.
"Matagal na naming pinag-usapan ito, nauna lang 'yung kay Matteo pero this one matagal na pinag-usapan, pinag-isipan. Lahat ng hand tags, packaging materials, buttons and zippers lahat talaga (may approval niya)," Bacudio said.
"So passion naming dalawa. Hindi lang ito gumawa ng collaboration para mabili ng mga tao, para rin to support the visually impaired children in Baguio City," the designer said.
