MANILA – Last week, Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados was dragged into a controversy involving a “missing” dress created by London-based Filipino designer Lesley Mobo.
This after the beauty queen was photographed wearing a sparkly red dress that Mobo has been searching for since 2015.
The designer took to Facebook as he wondered how the dress ended up being worn by Ganados and if he can buy it back.
Hours later, Mobo deleted his post and replaced it with an image showing the text: “Apology accepted.”
Ganados finally spoke up about the issue in an interview with Philstar.com, saying she has already asked her stylist, Pam Quinones, how she got Mobo’s dress.
“It’s about her and the designer having a miscommunication about the gown,” she explained. “And the designer forgot that he gave it to my stylist.”
“That’s her reason and I didn’t know anything about the gown,” she added.
