MANILA – Vendors in the city of Manila will soon have a permanent spot to sell their products.
This as the Intramuros Administration announced that it will establish a “Hawkers Plaza” for vendors that have been relocated from public streets as a result of clearing operations.
With the Hawkers Plaza yet to be constructed, vendors have been temporarily transferred to the Postigo parking lot.
The Intramuros Administration assured the public that the vendors “have been properly given notice and volunteered to relocate to their new location.”
No other details have been revealed about the Hawkers Plaza, but some netizens speculate it would resemble the open-air complexes found in Singapore and Malaysia.
Hawker centers in these countries are known for offering affordable food in a clean environment.
