For the third straight year since being re-launched in 2016, the upcoming edition of the Miss Asia Pacific International beauty pageant will be held in Manila, it was confirmed Wednesday.

An announcement video on Facebook revealed that the 2018 edition will take place from September 14 to October 4 in the Philippines. An exact venue for the coronation night was not mentioned though.

First established in 1968, the Manila-based Miss Asia Pacific International, formerly Miss Asia Quest, is one of the oldest pageants in Asia. The Philippines has won it four times, namely by Ma. Del Carmen Ines Zaragoza (1982), Gloria Dimayacyac (1983), Lorna Legaspi (1989), and Michelle Aldana (1993).

Last year, Francielly Ouriques of Brazil took home the title. The Philippines' Ilene de Vera finished fourth runner-up.
