MANILA – Discovery Shores is one of the many establishments affected by the six-month closure of Boracay island to tourists, which started this April.
But the luxury resort is making the most out of the downtime as it undergoes renovations.
Discovery Shores gave the public an update via a statement released on its social media accounts on Wednesday night, saying the company has been “busy working on several new and exciting changes.”
“For a fresh new look, modern refurbishments are being done in all the guest rooms and restaurant outlets – Sands and Indigo. Our Sand Bar and Front Office reception are undergoing a makeover as well,” the statement read.
Discovery Shores also revealed that when Boracay reopens in October, the resort will launch a new wing called the “Signature Suites.”
“This is our premier wing consisting of 11 rooms and a lively Italian restaurant called Forno Osteria,” the resort said, adding that they are already accepting reservations for stays in November 2018 onwards.
