MANILA – Did you know that Disney has been working with internationally renowned furniture designer Kenneth Cobonpue for a collection inspired by the “Star Wars” franchise?

Pieces from the collection were unveiled during the recently concluded Asia Pop Comic Con 2018 in Pasay City.

Phones and cameras were not allowed during the launch, so photos are not available as of writing. But an official preview of a chair inspired by the “Star Wars” Tie Fighter spacecraft has been released online.

Here’s a look:

Born in Cebu, Cobonpue is best known internationally for the award-winning Bloom chair, which consists of microfiber stitched over a resin top with a steel base.

His high-end furniture pieces have been bought by the likes of Brad Pitt, Jackie Chan, and Harrison Ford.

Cobonpue has opened showrooms not only in Manila and Cebu, but also in New York and Munich, Germany.
