MANILA – Back then, all she had to worry about is her next destination.

But Divine Lee said her priorities have changed drastically since she became a mother.

The socialite and lifestyle blogger has a son – nicknamed Baz – with her husband, businessman Blake Go. Soon, they will welcome a baby girl.

On Instagram Stories, Lee recalled her plan to go on a vacation before she gives birth for the second time, only to scrap it so she can save up for the future of her children.

“Was really planning on taking a vacay (vacation) with everyone before my due date. Then naisip ko – should save money for Baz and his sister,” she said. “Baz won’t even remember if I bring him anywhere now. Parang mas important ‘yung college fund niya and saving for his future. If we plan a trip now, it’s really for Blake and me.”

“Grabe makaiba ng priorities ang anak,” Lee noted. “Dati plano ko lang if Coachella or Glastonbury (music festival) pupuntahan ko.”

With their second baby on the way, Lee and her husband have decided to give “110%” of themselves to their kids, which meant that they have to “super work and save.”

While it is a huge sacrifice to make, the lifestyle blogger said they have no regrets as they have made the most out of their single lives before tying the knot.

“It’s so funny talaga, dati puwede mo kami ilagay sa poster ng YOLO ni Blake. Please don’t forget that we both married late and sinagad talaga namin ‘yung single life. Now all we talk about is how to make sure na we are doing 110% for the best of our kids,” she said.

In a previous interview with Smart Parenting, Lee revealed that her journey to motherhood started at age 24, when she had her eggs frozen.

She said she decided to freeze her eggs despite her single status to take away the pressure of having a child at an early age.

Twelve years later, Lee felt that she has accomplished most of her personal goals so she decided to create embryos with her husband via in vitro fertilization.
