MANILA -- Beauty queens Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray and rapper Apl.de.ap are among the featured personalities in the second season of "Bahay Book Club," a show on ABS-CBN's The Filipino Channel (TFC).
"Bahay Book Club" showcases a collection of stories written by Filipino authors as narrated by global Filipinos, with the aim of introducing the country's culture to the younger generation and the rest of the world.
Gray kicked off the season by narrating "The Sea Creature and the Legend of the Pearl," to be followed by Wurtzbach's reading of "Maria Makiling."
Apl.de.ap, on the other hand, will serve as the narrator of "The Epic of Ibalon," which follows the quest of Lam-Ang in finding his missing father.
Other stories to be shown include "Legend of the Rainbow" to be narrated by Mama Earth Organization founder and children's book author Jamie Kailani; "Lola's Hands" by Broadway star Ali Ewoldt; and "The Centaur and the Elves" by Bobby Rubio, writer and director of Pixar's "Float."
"Bahay Book Club" can be watched via TFC on cable and satellite.
Show times are as follows: 8:30 a.m. (Rome), 9:15 a.m. (Pacific), 9:30 a.m. (Saudi), 5:45 p.m. (Hong Kong/Singapore), 6:45 p.m. (Japan), and 7:45 p.m. (Sydney).
The show is also available on TFC's video on demand IPTV service and online for premium subscribers.
