MANILA -- Divine Lee revealed on Thursday that she tested positive -- and has since recovered -- from the novel coronavirus.
In a series of Instagram Stories posts, the socialite said she was asymptomatic, and has completed her 14-day quarantine.
"Yes, I tested positive but I've been asymptomatic so wala akong naramdaman na kahit anong symptoms. I'm also done with the 14 days [of quarantine]," she said, adding that she also isolated herself from her children to make sure that they won't get the virus.
Noting that she has been staying inside their home since March, Lee believes that she got COVID-19 from objects that she has touched such as money and groceries.
"If there's one thing I realized, it's we haven't been out since March 14. So technically, wala pa kaming nakikitang tao. It's not person-to-person [transmission]," she said. "It's probably with everyday things that you touch like money and doorknobs... apparently, it (virus) stays on things."
"I'm not a doctor so I can't say na kaya ako hindi tinamaan ng symptoms is because I have a good immune system. [But] mahilig kasi akong mag-vitamins... I think it protected me in some way," she added.
Lee went on to explain why it took her a while to share her story, saying she "wanted to make sure muna na we're sobrang okay."
"At least now that we're okay, I can tell my story, and hopefully I can also help or guide [people]," she said, as she announced that she will soon share a vlog detailing her COVID-19 journey.
