Grant Imahara, known to many as the host of Discovery's science show "MythBusters," has passed away, according to a report.
He was 49.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Imahara "died suddenly following a brain aneurysm."
"We are heartbroken to hear this sad news about Grant. He was an important part of our Discovery family and a really wonderful man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family," a representative for Discovery said in a statement, as published by the entertainment website.
An electrical engineer and roboticist by training, Imahara joined "Mythbusters" on its third season and co-hosted with Kari Byron and Tory Belleci.
The three left "Mythbusters" in 2014, and reunited in 2016 to host the Netflix show "White Rabbit Project" for one season.
Following the news of Imahara's death, Byron has been posting photos of her with her co-hosts on Twitter, saying she wished "she had a time machine."
