MANILA -- A global e-pilgrimage will be held on July 16 to mark the anniversary of the 18th and last apparition of the Virgin Mary.
Hosted by the International Sanctuary of Lourdes, the event dubbed "Lourdes United" will take place live from the Grotto of the Apparitions in France.
It will run for 15 hours and will be available in 10 languages.
Interested participants may join by visiting the International Sanctuary of Lourdes website.
The International Sanctuary of Lourdes mobilizes nearly 100,000 volunteers to welcome 3 million pilgrims and visitors all over the world each year, according to a statement it released on Wednesday.
Closed for more than two months due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, it said the global e-pilgrimage "will bring everyone from the four corners of the world to see Lourdes as a beacon of faith, commitment, and hope during this unprecedented time."
