MANILA -- Two local fashion icons played a fun art-themed game on Wednesday as they encouraged their online viewers to join a shopping event that will benefit the Filipino youth.
Sketching on the spot from their respective homes, Heart Evangelista and Mimiyuuuh designed their dream school uniforms in a live video on Lazada's Facebook page.
The two sought-after content creators were promoting Shop2Give Hope, a one-day sale by Lazada and Unilever in support of UNICEF's education programs in the Philippines.
Evangelista, who was named the creative director of the homegrown clothing brand Kamiseta last year, said her dream school uniform would be all-white, just like her current go-to get-up.
"Para siyang vest pero 'di siya separate kasi mainit. So gusto ko nakatahi na siya doon, parang isang tela. Tapos 'yung likod niya wala nang vest. Parang top lang siya," she said.
Evangelista finished the look with knee-high socks and a bow that comes in different colors, giving students room to express themselves without having to violate the school's rules.
"Kung strict talaga 'yung school, meron lang siyang choices ng color ng ribbon. So ikaw na bahala pumili," said the actress, who recalled that she liked wearing many accessories in school as a form of self-expression.
Mimiyuuuh, who graduated from De La Salle-College Of Saint Benilde with a degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising, for his part was more adventurous with his take on the school uniform.
The vlogger paired a top with puff sleeves with an asymmetric pleated skirt: "Kasi I'm really into puff sleeves. Ang material nito dapat cotton, kasi medyo mainit [sa Pilipinas]."
