MANILA -- Specialty retailer Healthy Options is expanding its healthy product line with the launch of Mineral Fusion Cosmetics, an all-natural mineral makeup brand from the United States.

At the launch held Tuesday at its Uptown Mall store in Taguig, Elizabeth Bartlett, former regional manager at mineral Fusion and currently the key accounts manager for BWX Limited, discussed the benefits of mineral makeup on the skin to select media and beauty influencers.

“Mineral Fusion really strives to provide a full range from foundations, concealers, liptsticks, lip glosses, and eye makeup, but we like to do it with a natural spin. Many people think that they have to sacrifice performance, or they have to sacrifice selection for natural ingredients, but that’s not just the case. With the Mineral Fusion range, you can get everything that you need,” Bartlett said.

Mineral Fusion Cosmetics was established in 2007, offering mineral based makeup that is cruelty-free (it is Leaping Bunny certified, the international standard for non-animal tested products), gluten-free, vegetarian (a lot of products are even vegan), and eco-friendly, using wind power in production, soy ink in printing, and recyclable packaging from recycled materials.

Free from parabens, SLS, phthalates, artificial colors, talc, and synthetic fragrances, Mineral Fusion makeup is proudly EWG Verified. This verification asserts that the company and its products comply with the Environmental Working Group’s standards of health, standards of production, and is free of any chemicals of concern.

Originally formulated for those with sensitive skin, Mineral Fusion claims to soothe sensitive skin, while protecting and moisturizing it, aside from offering age-defying benefits.

“We like to think of mineral makeup, as leaving the skin in a better condition than when we found it. Oftentimes in commercial makeup, you will start a vicious cycle of I wear makeup to cover up a skin condition, which isn’t getting better because I’m wearing makeup. Here in Mineral Fusion, we like to infuse our products with natural ingredients that actually improve the quality of the skin,” Bartlett said.
